Garfield Park Reservation is located in Garfield Heights. It was rated one of the most underrated Cuyahoga County parks by the Metroparks' CEO a few years ago.
From the Metroparks website:
Garfield Park’s history dates back to 1894, when the city of Cleveland purchased three farms to create Newburgh Park. Later renamed Garfield Park, it benefitted from New Deal Era building projects such as roads and stone bridges in the 1930’s. It was leased to Cleveland Metroparks in 1986 and became Garfield Park Reservation. The reservation includes grills, picnic shelters and forest trails.
Located in Garfield Heights, Garfield Park Reservation has become a treasured urban oasis that has withstood the test of time. The park features a surprising array of wildlife diversity and recreational opportunities. Serving as a popular location for family gatherings and exercise enthusiasts with its unique landscapes and vistas, guests can be surprised with each visit offering something new to discover.
