Kurtis Carman - President
Kurtis grew up in Ashland, Ohio and moved on to study accounting at Bowling Green State University. After graduating he spent one year in insurance and brokerage sales at Western Southern followed by a year in premium audit at AmTrust Financial in downtown Cleveland. From there he transitioned to a career that he is truly enjoying with a local CPA firm called LGKW. In 2014 LGKW merged into a larger regional firm, BMF, where he currently serves as an audit staff.
Kurtis is a very social and active individual which is what led him to test the Cleveland 20/30 Club where he quickly began to make new professional contacts and friends. After a few months of being in the club he was asked to consider joining the board in the coming election. After serving for one year as Networking Director he ran for the President-Elect role and has transitioned into President in 2016.
In his free time Kurtis loves sampling beers and good food at local restaurants, playing sports, working out, and getting outdoors. He resides in Lakewood and is excited about the revitalization of Cleveland and wants to contribute as much as he can to the effort.
Drew is from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and graduated from Allegheny College with a degree in managerial economics. After college, he had the opportunity to become a college football coach, allowing him to build relationships, connect, and guide others to reach their personal goals. He also was fortunate enough to become a Big Brother in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization, allowing him to give back and connect to the local community. Drew moved back to Cleveland almost three years ago, and is involved with the Chagrin Falls Chamber of Commerce as well as the Cleveland 20/30 Club. He works as a Financial Professional with Lighthouse Wealth Solutions.
Seeking to be a part of a group offers connection and growth, Drew joined the Cleveland 20/30 Club. Within months of being with the club, he had connected both socially and professionally with a number of club members at various events. After speaking with several board members, he was encouraged to join the board of directors.
In Drew’s free time, he likes to be involved in a variety of sports including golf, soccer, volleyball, and flag football to name a few. Additionally he enjoys, working out, yoga, film, theater, reading, playing chess, and he always welcomes new activities and opportunities. Drew loves spending time with family, friends, and experiencing all things Cleveland.
He is excited about the growth of Cleveland over the past several years, and knows that Cleveland is “THE LAND” of limitless potential thanks to the amazing young professionals in this city. He believes these difference-makers involved with education, networking, entertainment, social, philanthropic, health care and entrepreneurial activities are the drivers of growth in this city.
Daryl Gagliardi - Secretary
Daryl is a Lake County native. After graduating from Perry High School, he received his Bachelor's Degree from Miami University. Daryl returned to the Cleveland area to attend law school at Case Western. After living in Cleveland Heights, Euclid, Lakewood, and downtown, he now lives in Mentor, close to where he grew up. During the day, Daryl represents individuals and small businesses in a variety of legal matters as part of a small local law firm. At night, Daryl brews beer, exercises, enjoys Cleveland's best restaurants and reads voraciously.
Seth Weinstein - Treasurer
Seth attended Miami University where he obtained his Bachelors of Business in Accounting and then went on to complete his Masters of Accounting at Ohio State University. After graduate school, he spent 4 years as a CPA for SS&G, Inc./BDO USA, LLP. In the summer of 2015, Seth left public accounting and joined his family’s business, Medical Service Company, as a business analyst. Seth joined 20/30 in 2013 with the goal of networking with other YPs who are as excited about Cleveland as he is. When he isn’t on the clock or providing his assistance as Treasurer of 20/30, Seth likes to frequent the best restaurants CLE has to offer. On a Saturday night, you may find him enjoying the Pizza of Geraci’s in University Heights, Latin inspired foods of Paladar in Beachwood, or the international fare at Parallax in Tremont.

Tyler Allen - Technology
Tyler is originally from Kettering, just outside of Dayton, OH. He moved to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University and now has a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Engineering Management. Tyler works for The Medical Center Company, a district energy utility that provides steam, chilled water, and electric distribution to University Circle non-profit institutions. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys cooking and exploring new Cleveland restaurants. He is also sings bass in the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. As Technology Director, Tyler is responsible for the maintenance of the 20/30 Club website.
Jesse DiFranco - At Large
Jesse DiFranco stepped onto the networking scene in the summer of 2014 after graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. Having grown up in Northeast Ohio, Jesse was shocked (and a little embarrassed) with how little he knew about the Downtown Cleveland area. This would soon change.
After a few stints in some less than satisfactory networking groups, Jesse stumbled upon 20/30. This is when networking turned into something much much more. Not only was Jesse now making tons of new friends and business connections, he was also learning of all the great things this city has to offer. In his free time, Jesse enjoys writing, reading and nurturing his obsession of film by watching every movie he can. He keeps that passion alive by assisting with writing and acting in many different film projects throughout Cleveland.
Matt Maroon - Social
Matt Maroon is an author and serial entrepreneur from Akron, Ohio. His software company, Blue Frog Gaming, was called "easily the third best web game developer" by some guy on a forum. For the 20/30 group he is the social director, a.k.a. chief party planner. When not working, his interests include food, cocktails, and traveling to places with good food and cocktails. Also he owns many leather-bound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Sara Martin - Membership
Sara is a Northeast Ohio native, born and raised in Broadview Heights and now currently residing in Seven Hills. She studied Marketing and Business Logistics at John Carroll University and was involved in the Student Union Programming Board and Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She was afforded the opportunity to study abroad in London, where she discovered her passion for meeting new people, being immersed in different cultures and trying new things such as kayaking in Wales, milking a cow in Galway and touring the 1936 Olympic stadium in Berlin.
After graduating, Sara spent 6 years in higher education as Director of Career Services, helping students with career development and job search assistance. In 2015, she leveraged her relationship building skills and strong aptitude for connecting people to obtain an HR role at Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF), a regional public accounting firm with offices in Akron and Cleveland. Sara is a member of the firm’s e3 committee, which focuses on Employee Enrichment and Engagement opportunities for staff to be connected both in and out of the firm. It’s that passion for connecting people that led her to joining the Cleveland 20/30 Club in 2016.
In her free time Sara enjoys exploring new restaurants, kayaking/anything outdoors, and DIY projects around her house. She loves red wine, cooking, her dog, traveling and is always open to trying new things!
Melanie Raese - Philanthropy
Melanie is from Medina and attended Ohio University where she studied business and German. While studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria she developed a liking for meeting new people, learning the history and culture of cities and expanding her horizons with enriching experiences. After living in western Ohio for several years, Melanie is excited to be back in Cleveland. The city is thriving and has much to offer. She especially enjoys the waterfront, Cleveland sports, cultural events and the diverse food and craft microbrew scene. Melanie works at AIG as an insurance underwriter for Executive Liability which includes coverages for Board of Directors, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary and Crime.
Since returning to Cleveland, she has been expanding her professional and personal contacts and was introduced to the 20/30 club. Melanie values the club initiatives and joined the Board as the Philanthropy Director to both showcase what the city has to offer and to help members feel connected and engaged through volunteerism efforts in our communities.
Alex Schauer - Education
Though he grew up in Canton, Alex spent 6 of the last 7 years in Cincinnati while obtaining his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Alex works for Schauer Group, Inc., his families independent insurance agency based in Canton, OH. He acts as a Client Executive within their Cleveland branch specializing in Life Sciences companies as well as working with a multitude of other industries. Alex resides in Cleveland's Warehouse District. In his spare time, Alex enjoys cooking, playing sports, and finding new places to enjoy in the city he now calls home.

Dave Stokley - Book Club
Dave does fundraising for the Cleveland Museum of Art and is the founder of the 20/30 Club’s new Book Club. He currently lives in Ohio City with his wife and dog. After growing up in Bay Village he is excited to be back in Cleveland, having spent 8 years away from the city earning a bachelor’s degree at Wittenberg University and a law degree at Ohio State.
Dave likes watching Cleveland sports, playing baseball and golf, enjoying Cleveland’s amazing craft beer scene, and meeting new people. He’s excited about the club’s potential and looks forward to working on ways for the club to provide more value to its members and the city.
Mark Vondrak - Networking
Mark grew up in Sagamore Hills, Ohio, a southeast suburb of Cleveland and graduated from Nordonia High School where he played football and baseball. Mark first learned the importance of building a strong network while he attended Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as an Accounting major in 2010, Mark moved back to Northeast Ohio and started working at Quality Electrodynamics (QED), a manufacturer of medical equipment located in Mayfield Village, Ohio. While working during the day as an Accountant at QED, Mark took classes at Cleveland State University and in 2013 graduated with a Masters of Business Administration. In July 2014, Mark was promoted to his current role at QED of Inventory Control Supervisor, where he oversees all warehouse activity including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Mark became a member of the 20/30 club in July 2014 because he was looking to contribute to the resurgence of Cleveland in a greater capacity, and in May 2015 was elected to position of Networking Director. Currently residing in the Tremont neighborhood, he spends is free time enjoying many different activities, some of which include playing rec sports, golfing, traveling, boating, and brewing beer, however the activity he is most passionate about is promoting the city of Cleveland and all it has to offer. Mark believes that the resurgence of Cleveland is real and the group of people that is going to make it sustainable is the young professionals here that really care about seeing Cleveland become a top-tier city once again.
Eric Zell - At Large
Eric is an attorney at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, and he's served as The 20/30 Club's General Counsel from June 2013 - August 2016. He grew up in Northeast Ohio and spent a good majority of his life here, so he's always had a strong tie to the area. Only since Eric graduated from law school, however, after he had a chance to live and work in Cleveland, did he fully appreciate what this city has to offer. He has eaten many great meals, seen countless cool shows at many of our local music venues, and cheered on our sports teams, in addition to exploring different areas of the city. The 20/30 Club is part of the reason that he's been able to continue to find new things to do in Cleveland as well as make new friends and professional contacts with whom he's become close.
