Can you believe that it’s almost Thanksgiving? This year has flown by so quickly! Luckily for us the hikes do not stop! Akron has always been a favorite place of not only mine but also any avid hiking fan who lives in Cleveland! This hike you’ll notice is one the third Saturday of the month, instead of the fourth due to holidays.

About The Route: Consisting of hills(some steep) and great views-this hike has something for everyone! Hopefully we will even catch some last of the Fall colors. Come prepared to hike 2-3 miles and make sure you wear both comfortable shoes and a warm jacket.

History About The Area: Founded in 1900, this facility manufactured flour sacks and roofing paper, driving a wave of growth and employing nearly 200 workers (many of them Polish immigrants from Cleveland) until it closed in 1923. The former company store now serves as the Boston Mills Visitor Center

Lunch afterwards: The lunch plan is to go to Fisher afterwards(Winking Lizard as a back up). Fisher are famous for their pies. Who doesn’t love pie right?! This is about 6 mins away from our trail

Other Lunch Option: I want to leave this up to you attendees-My other thought is Quarter Up which is located about 17 mins from the trailhead. They have arcade games, a great atmosphere and are known for their hot dogs and great beer and wine selection. We can vote on it!
