The CEO Dinner series is one of the Club's longest standing institutions. Each month our Professional Members have the opportunity to join the CEO of a local company for a private dinner. These events are intentionally limited to 12 people so everyone has an opportunity to share in a robust and inclusive discussion.
Attendees can make connections not only with the CEO, but also with the other driven young professionals in attendance. The CEOs represent a wide range of companies and industries and whether big or small, public or private, well-known or niche, good conversation is had by all. This event will be $25 per professional member and will include your dinner at Bold Food and Drink in the Flats.
About Derek Pittak, Chief Operating Officer of TalentLaunch
Derek joined TalentLaunch in early 2016 as the Director of Client Service Delivery and then was promoted to Chief Operating Officer a year later. In his role, Derek is responsible for the oversight and execution of TalentLaunch support services including technology, marketing, learning & development, and talent acquisition. This support spans across 32 locations in the United States supporting a network of 8 companies at $150M in revenue.
Prior to joining TalentLaunch, Derek spent approximately three years with KeyBank in Corporate Procurement as a Vice President. His first experience with staffing came as he managed Key Bank’s $115M annual spend of their contingent workforce and personally led a project to overhaul Key’s staffing program, resulting in over $4M in realized savings along with a more efficient process in the first year of implementation.
Derek is an Air Force veteran who served in the finance field from 2000 to 2004. He was able to quickly move up the junior ranks being recognized many times for excellent performance that led to an early promotion that only 10% of all enlisted airmen achieve. After his enlistment, Derek worked as a financial analyst for the Department of Defense until 2013.
Academically, Derek received his Undergraduate Degree from Cleveland State University with a major in Political Science and well as his Masters from University of Phoenix with a major in Accountancy. He also has a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute.
Derek resides in his hometown of Amherst, Ohio with his wife Kelli and their four children - Gianna, Elijah, twins Kennedy and Reagan. With a passion for politics, Derek was elected to a four year term as Amherst's Auditor in 2017 – a role he views as a way to give back to the community he loves.
