For our May hike we will explore the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve, a unique Cleveland location. Originally a confined disposal facility for material dredged from the Cuyahoga River, it is essentially an 88-acre man-made peninsula. It has two and a half miles of trails and features a diverse array of wildlife, including many vibrant bird species.
We will meet at 11:00 AM in the parking lot of Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Office at 8701 Lakeshore Blvd. NE, Cleveland, OH 44108.
Please wear appropriate clothing and bring what you need to be comfortable like water and an extra layer. Afterwards we can adjourn for refreshments at one of the many nearby establishments.
