29th Annual Run/Walk For Hunger

Registration

  • You want to volunteer to help out with the many volunteer positions for the run/walk from 7 AM - 12 PM.
  • You want to join the Cleveland 20/30 team to run/walk. Please make sure to register at: HungerNetwork.org/event/RunWalk2017 under the Team Name "Cleveland 20/30"

We are partnering up with the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland for their 29th Annual Run/Walk for Hunger! The Run/Walk for Hunger is their signature event to raise funds and awareness to fight local hunger in Greater Cleveland. We will be having a volunteer group and a walk/run team. 

WALK/RUN TEAM INFORMATION

  • Walker - is Free. There is a $30 fundraising minimum. 
  • Runner - $30. This covers the bib (officially chip-timed by Hermes) and a runner's t-shirt. 
Team Fundraising Goal is $200.00

VOLUNTEER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

There are many ways to volunteer for this event and they will be assigned out by the Hunger Network. If you have a specific need, because of physical abilities, or a time constraint please let us know. The Hunger Network will try their best to accommodate. Please make sure to sign up before April 23rd. 

  • All volunteers must report to "Volunteer Sign-In" inside the GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER Reinberger Auditorium upon arrival.
  • Parking will be available for $5 in the Great Lakes Science Center Parking Garage.
COLLECT DONATION OPTION
Send an email to marketing@cleveland2030.org to request an "apple selling kit". Each apple in the kit can be sold for a minimum of $1 to friends/family/co-workers/church congregants for them to proudly display their support of the Hunger Network. 

VOLUNTEER OPTIONS

PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION

  • Registration 7:30AM – 10:00AM at GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER
  • Register teams and individual participants
  • Must be able to count and add quickly, be able to stand for long periods of time, have legible handwriting, be flexible, friendly, patient, and must work well under pressure
  • Clean up your work area when finished

SET-UP & TEAR DOWN AT GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER

  • 7:30AM to 12:30PM inside & outside
  • Duties may include, but are not limited to: trash collecting, moving tables and chairs, and general clean up. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 20 pounds – all with a great attitude!

BREAKFAST CREW

  • 7:45AM to 10:00AM
  • Pass out breakfast items to participants
  • Clean up Breakfast Tent when finished

LUNCH CREW

  • 9:15AM to 12:00PM
  • Pass out lunch items donated by Mr. Hero’s sandwiches & water to participants
  • Clean up Lunch Tent when finished

MIDPOINT

  • Sign in no later than 8:30AM at Volunteer Sign-In at GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER, take the shuttle to the midpoint
  • 9:00AM to 11:00AM outside at Quicken Loans Arena
  • Distribute water to walkers & runners. Must be able to lift, be friendly, and enthusiastic
  • Clean up Midpoint when finished

ROUTE GUIDE

  • Register no later than 8:00AM at GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER; take the shuttle to the route
  • 9:00AM to 11:00AM outside along the route
  • Stand at route points [or bring a lawn chair & sit] with a sign directing participants to next point on route
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be enthusiastic, and motivate participants
