Join the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club as we partner with the Young Professionals of the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank to prepare gently-used books for distribution to children and families in need.
Can you imagine a family home without children’s books? Could you have even learned to read without your own books? Sadly, two-thirds of low income families in Cleveland do not possess any of their own books, causing decreased literacy levels in the inner city and contributing to the devastating cycle of poverty.
The Cleveland Kids' Book Bank aims to break this cycle and foster literacy and a love of reading among the children and families in our community by making books accessible to all. They recognize that kids need books to learn and to feed their imagination--but they need our help to get them!
Come help us turn Cleveland into a city of passionate young readers by volunteering at their Young Professionals' signature monthly event, “Books & Brews," a happy hour book sorting and BYOB networking event. Network with other like-minded YP's while browsing, batching and boxing books for distribution to local organizations that serve children and families in need.
Sign-up requires a firm commitment to attend.
Disclaimer: Cancellations within 48 hours of the event will not be refunded.
