The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club and the Greater Cleveland Partnership are jointly hosting a tour of the Opportunity Corridor. The Opportunity Corridor is a transportation project to construct a three-mile boulevard which will connect I-490 to University Circle and bring new access and new economic opportunities into several Cleveland neighborhoods. The tour will give young professionals the chance to see the project firsthand and provide feedback about how developments in the Opportunity Corridor can be tailored to attract young professionals to the Corridor as a place to live and work. What kind of recreational and social amenities should there be? What sort of transit-oriented developments would make access convenient and thus make the area more appealing? What concerns are there about locating in the Corridor?

The tour group will meet in the parking lot at Sterle’s Country House and board the bus there to head out on the tour. As part of the tour, we will stop to get out and look at particular sites. When the tour is concluded the bus will bring us back to Sterle’s and we will adjourn to Goldhorn Brewery next door for a discussion of what we saw on the tour and what developments along the Corridor would make it an attractive location for young professionals.
