Autumn is a beautiful time of year in Northeast Ohio, and at this event you will have the chance to see it. We will be doing a group hike at Virginia Kendall Park within Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Virginia Kendall Park features a number of stunning rock faces and outcroppings, with many cuts and caves to explore.
We will meet at 10:30 AM at the Ledges Shelter located at the end of the parking area. This will be about a 2-hour hike of easy to moderate difficulty; please wear appropriate clothing and bring what you need to be comfortable like water and an extra layer. After the hike those who choose to can meet at the Winking Lizard in Peninsula for lunch.
A map of the complete Virginia Kendall area is here; we will be hiking in the Ledges Area section of the Unit.
This event will be led by our very own Board Member Emeritus, Peter Zahirsky.
