The CEO Dinner series is one of the Club's longest standing institutions. Each month our Professional Members have the opportunity to join the CEO of a local company for a private dinner. These events are intentionally limited to 12 people so everyone has an opportunity to share in a robust and inclusive discussion. Attendees can make connections not only with the CEO, but also with the other driven young professionals in attendance. The CEOs represent a wide range of companies and industries and whether big or small, public or private, well-known or niche, good conversation is had by all.
About Steve Bales - Managing Partner of Ziegler Metzger
Steve Bales is the Managing Partner of Ziegler Metzger LLP, in Cleveland, Ohio where he has practiced law at the same firm for 36 years. Steve began his career at Ziegler Metzger in 1981 as a law clerk while attending law school at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University. Steve began practicing law with Ziegler Metzger in November 1983. He became the firm’s Managing Partner in January 2016. Steve leads the firm’s litigation group which focuses on estate and trust litigation involving fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested matters before Probate Courts throughout Ohio; employment matters principally involving pre-employment and post-employment covenants and restrictions, trade secrets and confidential information; civil business litigation in state and federal courts (including creditor bankruptcy); and arbitration in forums such as AAA and FINRA. He is a member of the Ohio Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the 3rd and 6th Circuit Federal Courts of Appeal, and the United States District Courts in Ohio and Wisconsin. Steve also serves as a panel arbitrator with FINRA.
Steve is active on the boards of the Boy Scouts of America and The Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross.
When not involved in the practice of law, Scouting and the Red Cross, Steve spends time reading, collecting and listening to vinyl music, shooting competitively, backpacking and hiking. Steve and his wife Kathy reside in Hambden Township. They have two adult children, Andrew and Lauren; and two grandchildren.
