For our March book club, we will be discussing "Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City" by Pulitzer Prize winner Matthew Desmond.

"Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City" has been named one of the best books of the year by The New York Times Book Review, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, NPR and as well as by many other large publications. The book takes places in the poorest areas of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and follows eight families struggling to pay rent to their landlords around the 2008 financial crisis. "It highlights the issues of extreme poverty, affordable housing, and economic exploitation in the United States."

Please join us to discuss the book on March 19th at Bar Cento. Reservation will be under Sarah Corr.
